'Tis the Season

Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat...I'm the goose. Xmas Ball Anyway, isn't Christmas fun. We are looking forward to my parents coming over and celebrating with us. I am excited to make Christmas cookies with the kids. We do this every year. I guess it has become one of our traditions. For any who read this have a wonderful Christmas. Celebrate the King. Smile till it hurts. Don't get overwhelmed or at least try to hide it, Ha Ha. Merry Christmas from us to you.

Halloween

Aaron ,me and the kids went over to Mom's for Halloween. Mom's neighborhood is perfect for trick or treating. Anyway the kids all dressed up. Mom, Dad, Laurie, Joey, Ronny and I stayed home to pass out candy while Aaron and Dave took the kids around the neighborhood. I just wanted you all to see what they came home to. Laurie and I have probably never done this, at least not that I can recall. We can now confidently say we are total nerds. Ugly, scary nerds.

A Family Affair

We just ended a very nice weekend. Mom and Dad came over for the weekend so Dad and Aaron could hunt. They had fun but were unsuccessful. Anyway along with Mom and Dad was Laurie and baby Joey. Oh, to have a baby in the house. So fun and so sweet. I am so proud of Laurie, she is doing a great job. And also in tow was Grandpa Luke and Grandma Laurie. So we all had fun. We went to the boys soccer games, hung out at home and went to dinner. All of this was of course between feedings and naps. But I sure had a good time with the company. Thanks for coming to our neck of the woods and enjoying the weekend with us.

Life

School has started, soccer has started, the kids keep growing, and life keeps moving. Boy is it busy, but oh so fun. Let's see... Isaac is in the 5th grade, Travis is in the 3rd, Lauren is in 1st and Joshua is in Kindergarten. I use to wonder what it would be like when they started going to school. Now I have 4 in and what a ride. I fear I will look back and miss this time in our lives. So here I am at home, only 2 kids with all this time on my hands, crazy.

What a disaster

SO as hard as it is to admit my kids spread the evil lice bug through the family. For the record we are so sorry, we only found it on Saturday night and tried to figure out how long they had it. Anyway we passed it here and passed it there.
Needless to say the past few days have been busy. 4 kids and a mommy with lice is a disaster. I think our washing machine lost a year of its life. But after Friday they should be gone for good. I have picked their hair every morning and night and am happy to say no nits or bugs, so on Friday I will use the lice shampoo again and that should be the end of it. It is amazing how something like this can take over your world. The kids of course handled it well. It is me who still has an itchy head, that may never go away.
Life is so unpredictable, the second we think we have a handle is the second something else pops up to fix, take care of, worry about, stress out over, and so on. I know it is God reminding us how much we need Him.

July 4th Weekend

We had a great weekend. We went over to Eric, Misty and Logan's place. Mom and Dad came over as well. We got to go out on Eric and Misty's boat and play at the beach at Steamboat rock. The mosquitos loved us. Of course by the time fireworks rolled around we were all in bed. On Saturday we went out again and had an eventful day. Losing keys at the waters edge that Eric's large magnet found after 2 hours of searching. A litle fishing Friday and Sunday. These are the memories I know the kids are going to have for their lifetime.
